The curriculum set, “Developing Christian Leadership Skills in Youth” is a collection of 40 lessons that aims to equip young adults spiritually, physically, cognitively and socio-emotionally by having youth build assets in their own lives and in the lives of others. The first half of the lessons focus on the external assets that are provided from outside and the second half of the lessons addresses those assets that are internal. Both of these sections are divided into four categories with several sub-categories. The curriculum is contextualized for Africa, and uses age appropriate verbiage, activities, and illustrations to develop Christian leadership skills in youth. Topics are varied, but include leadership fundamentals, winning with people, and managing priorities. All lesson plans include instructions for preparing the material, teaching the lesson with hands-on activities, and assessment of learning.
