The statistics are clear: One billion children, half of the children in the world, suffer physical poverty. The other half who live in developed countries are facing spiritual poverty. According to a study done by Barna group, only 3% of children see life from a biblical perspective.
Yet, there is hope. More than 70% of decisions for Christ are made between the ages of four and fourteen, and the children that decide to follow Christ are more likely to keep the faith throughout their life. Their childhood years are formative for who they will become and how they will influence the world; children are not to be overlooked.
God is calling us to radically change the way we view children and to respond to their strategic importance and rightful place in His Kingdom. While the world views children as foolish and immature, we believe that they matter to God and can become agents of transformation in the Kingdom of Heaven.
The best way to shine light into a dark world is through open windows. Win the heart of a child across the street or around the world while the window is still open.
