The lesson “How to Prevent and Treat Vehicular Accidents” demonstrates proper safety techniques for the mother/caregiver when crossing a street with both an infant and a toddler. The mother will learn safety precautions in preventing vehicular accidents for each mode of transportation in her community, as well as how to treat minor injuries resulting from vehicular accidents, such as cuts, bleeding, burns and broken bones. She will also learn how to make a stretcher and correctly transport a child who is unresponsive at the scene of a vehicular accident.
