The Core Curriculum for children between the ages of 6 and 8 includes 43 lessons that work to develop the motivation and skills for children to be economically self-supporting as they grow older. The lesson content is geared toward cultivating unique interests and intelligences, as well as honing vocational skills. Lessons include practical and pragmatic topics to engage critical thinking, with units focusing on “Who Am I?,” “Reading Strategies,” “Critical Thinking Skills,” “Water,” “Understanding Pollution,” “Where Does My Food Come From?,” “Real-Life Problem Solving,” “Raising Food,” “Beginning Research,” “Natural Disaster Preparation,” “Business” and “Managing Money,” as well as “Local Craft – Skill” as lesson unit content. Each lesson includes guided instructions for the teacher, including preparation, a script, and suggested activities to facilitate further learning in a fun and interactive manner.
